More Than A Cleaning

HEALTHY HABITS

There is nothing quite like that clean, smooth feeling after a hygiene visit, but the appointment is also a good chance to see how everything has been doing since the last time you were in. We can clean the hard-to-reach areas at home, check your gums, and take a closer look at fillings, crowns, and other dental work.

Sometimes the first sign of trouble is easy to overlook. You may notice a little sensitivity, bleeding when you floss, or a rough spot that was not there before. Bringing it up during a regular visit can often keep a small concern from becoming a much bigger headache.

PROTECT YOUR DENTAL WORK

Crowns, bridges, implants, fillings, and other restorations still need daily care. Plaque can collect around the edges of a crown, beneath a bridge, or near an implant just as it does around a natural tooth.

Good brushing and flossing habits help protect the teeth and gums supporting that dental work. Your hygienist may also recommend a floss threader, interdental brush, water flosser, or another tool based on the areas that are hardest for you to reach.

TIME TO SCHEDULE YOUR CLEANING?

If it has been a while since your last cleaning and checkup, there is no need to feel embarrassed. We are simply glad you are ready to come in.
